Lighthouses appeal to me, maybe it is because they are guardians, showing sailors the safer way to land. Or maybe it is their isolated perches on outcrops of rock.
I am drawn to them and this one I can see from the top of my drive across the mouth of Lough Swilly. It is on The Wild Atlantic Way

Puffins are definitely one of my favourite birds, I love watching , sketching and painting them. It seemed right to add them to this painting.
